Welcome to Room 11's Blog. We are a year 2 class of 6 and 7 year olds. Our school is Pinehill School in Auckland, New Zealand. This is our second time being involved with Quad Blogging and we are really looking forward to getting to know other children from around the world.
We love sharing our learning on our blog and look forward to receiving lot of comments.

Is it cold where you live? Today in Australia it is BOILING hot and very humid.
We would also like to know what is it like to live in New Zealand?

We really enjoy making the videos that we put on our blog.
We do not have any pets in our classroom but we do have a pet cat and some pet fish on our blog. Also we have just finished making some beautiful Rainbow Fish to display in our class. We will put a photo of them on our blog today.
At the moment it is summer in New Zealand and its not cold, but in winter it does get cold. In some parts of New Zealand we get snow but not in Auckland. We all live close to lots of different beaches because we live on an Island. We enjoy going swimming at the weekends and after school. Do you live near beaches?
New Zealand is a beautiful country. There are a lot of trees in New Zealand. It is fun to live in New Zealand. We can have lots of picnics. In New Zealand we start school at 8.50am and finish at 3.00pm. What time do you go to school?

ReplyDeleteMy name is Mr Brown and I am the headteacher of Ashdon School, one of your quadblogging partners. I am teaching IT today and all the children in Class 3 will be looking at your blog. I hope some will start to make comments.
Ashdon is a small village near Cambridge in England....but I'll get the children to add more about where we live and our school on our quadblogging page today.

DeleteOnce a year we have a design and technology week. This is so we can design and make many things from old boxes, bottle tops. Anything you can recycle? Our class teacher wanted us to make musical instruments. Class 4 made eygptian instruments. At the end of the week we invited our parents to view our work. We had on display in our school.
